Hargreaves Lansdown are a FTSE 100 Financial Services company based in Bristol, UK. Due to continued strategic expansion, a position has arisen for a Uniface developer, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience. Details of the position are as follows:-

 

Summary:

Hargreaves Lansdown have developed over a number of years an internal CRM, Marketing and third party business processing application, which is used throughout the business. The role involves supporting the existing application, along with making changes and additions to the application as requested by the business.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Working with other members of the team to help deliver solutions to the business

• Peer review solutions to ensure that they follow standards and are optimum;

• To adhere to deadlines, prioritise work, and provide progress reports;

• Documentation of code & processes developed;

• Cultivate strong relationships with colleagues, business users, and other technical teams;

• Ensure knowledge and experience is shared with the rest of the team and support others in their development;

 

Essential Requirements

Knowledge: Excellent computer competency; Knowledge of Uniface; Experience of relational databases; Good SQL skills

Experience: Minimum 3 years Uniface development

Competencies: Good numerical skills; Highly organised; Good attention to details; Ability to effectively manage own workload; Ability to work well in a team

Attributes: Ability to perform under pressure; Ability to work flexibly to suit the hours and needs of the role; Hardworking; Self-starter; Reliable and trustworthy; Presentable, professional appearance

 

Desirable Requirements

Qualifications: Degree educated; IT based qualification

Knowledge: Uniface 9; Experience of Sybase; Experience of Oracle; SOAP services

Experience: 5 years+ Uniface development

Competencies: Strong communicator (written and verbal); Ability to analyse and problem solve

Attributes: Patient, diligent and diplomatic; Pro-active, resourceful and able to use initiative; Willingness to learn, develop and keep abreast of technological developments
