Hi,

"Co-location" seems to be one of those (numerous) pieces of assumed
knowledge in the CORBA world.

Can anyone point me to explanatory documentation as to what it is and
the benefits it provides?

In addition to explaining what co-location is, this paper also
illustrates the (huge) performance boost.
