The removal of comp.society.folklore was announced on 2004-06-21 in

An MVI (Moderator Vacancy Investigation) was concluded on 2004-06-21 for
the non-functioning moderated groups comp.society, comp.society.folklore,
and comp.society.cu-digest. Very little interest and no moderators for
comp.society.folklore were found, so the newsgroup is being removed.
