This is the .unix group, so I think it's reasonable to assume it's some
form of Unix. They're all pretty much the same in this regard.
The main thing to do is edit /etc/inetd.conf and comment out any of the
services you dohn't need. There are also some standalone daemons that may
be running that you don't need, such as sendmail and nfsd; many systems
automatically start them if their configuration file is installed
(e.g. /etc/sendmail.cf for sendmail), so if you remove or rename the config
file they won't be started.
