"Before generating a public key using PuTTYgen, you need to select which
type of key you need. PuTTYgen currently supports three types of key:
An RSA key for use with the SSH 1 protocol.
An RSA key for use with the SSH 2 protocol.
A DSA key for use with the SSH 2 protocol."
However there is no obvious option in either the "stable" or "development
snapshot" version to allow generation of anything other than a SSH1 key. I
tried "puttygen -t rsa" in the hope that maybe puttygen used the openssh
command link options but it had no obvious effect.
I have an SSH1 key working with pagent, and I can login via password using
SSH2 - all I need is an SSH2 key!
Doee anyone know the real answer?

Odd. When I start puttygen.exe from the dev snapshot, its dialog box has
a set of radio buttons on the bottom for choosing between the three
different key types.
