HostbasedAuthentication, followed snailbook but not working! :-(

but still no go. Here's the relevant config info. The client is
evereska and the server is endeavor. The ssh executable is suid root,
we are using privilege seperation and, we made our own package
installed to the /opt/erac tree. Any ideas?
