Hi,

I am new to putty I am trying ssh to server, but I keep getting an error
Server unexpectedly closed connection

I am running Norton AV added putty to allowed programs, checked server
details.........what else?

Inactivity timeout perhaps, network problem.

On my cable modem, for isntance, sometimes the first harbinger of
packet loss issues will be the loss of ssh connections. Web and pop3
and the like being intermittent connections don't seem to get as
unhappy with packet loss as more persistent connections like ssh.
