I'd like to update to Gpg4win 3.1.15 which means I'll be updating
my current gpg 2.2.11 to gpg 2.2.27. I currently have Kleopatra
3.1.4 and this new Kleopatra 3.1.15 sounds interesting and I’d like
to test out the elliptical encryption stuff.

Will the installer automatically just seek out and update my
current installation without a problem or will I risk messing up
that current installation or will Gpg4win 3.1.15 just install a
brand new Gpg4win and gpg.exe? A new installation will probably
cause all sorts of problems for me.

Anyone have any advice for what I should do regarding an upgrade?

You can use the installer without problems.
