The package comes with two such servers apparently configured:-
"Idap://certserver.pgp.com" and "http://pgpkeys.mit.edu:11371".
Yes I *have* connected to the internet, but whenever I try to connect to
these servers, I'm told they don't exist.
I can ping pgpkeys.mit.edu (but only without the ":11371" on the end)
Can't ping the other one.
Looked at the on-line documentation etc., but can't figure out anything
here - doesn't even mention these sites by name in the text !
Does anybody have any ideas???

Take a look at http://www.openpgp.net/pgpsrv.html.
It is a complete list of Public PGP Keyservers. All the servers on the
list are using http://<domain>:11371 format.
