Hi all,

I have a problem with the Kerio Mail server. After running 2-3 days without
problems it stops. I cannot stop the service manually and start it again,
there is the following error message:
"main.cpp: VarStartServer() failed: (10055) listen() failed"
After rebooting the whole computer things runs well for the next couple of
days.
The hotline from Kerio says that it is "run out of resources".
Does anyone have the same message? I do not know how to find out which one
causes the error.

I have a w2k computer, 128 MB RAM, Winroute as the firewall with NAT, WWW +
ftp IIS, Mail server, Norton Antivirus Systemworks, all on the same pc.

Any sugestions? What could it be?

I can't solve your problem. But I wish I didn't see your message today. I
was planning, this weekend, to purchase Kerio Mail Server to take advantage
of the 30 percent discount offered to Winroute Pro users that expires at the
end of April. Now I'm worried.

Are you running the virus scanning feature? Does this happen just "idling"?
What version is yours? I noticed there was a new version released on April
12th.

I have the new version 5.1.0. No, I am not running the virus scanning
feature, I have it outside from the mail server, because I want also reach
all the data coming in from ftp. Yes, just idling, but I can't stop it.
I read other post similiar to this problem and they suggest to deinstall
Norton Antivirus and take AVG. I will give it a try on Monday.
This is after all a good product, very good hotline indeed, maybe it's just
this virus program that doesn't like KMS.

I purchased and installed Kerio Mail Server. So far so good. I really like
the product. Especially how it handles multiple local domians.

I'll let you know how it goes...

BTW, I run Trend Micro's Office Scan Corporate Edition virus scanner on the
KMS machine. No trouble.
