SyGate Personal Firewall 4

I am not new to using software firewalls and i have copies of most firewalls
such as Zone Alarm Pro, BlackICE 2.5.cg, Tiny personal Firewall, SyGate 4
etc

but when i install SyGate PF version 4 and rebooted the computer took over
25 mins just to login! i loaded up task manager (i am using windows 2000
adv. server) and sygate was using nearly 100MB of memory! i have 512MB RAM
and 6 20GB HD as the comptuer is a server but why was sygate using so much?
i have had to uninstall it now which is annoying as i really liked the new
design and it is very much like ZAP and BlackICE together.

anyone else had this problem?

looks like it is back to my old setup!!

I had the same problem but only once. After I rebooted and logged in
again everything ran just fine.

maybe you can do the following:

defragment your hard drive
upgrade your computer's RAM
uninstall unused software
delete your autoexec.bat
delete your config.sys
delete your startup group items (except firewall and antivirus)
