This is the last with C bindings. I've started a
rewrite as there seems to be a common thread of
folks failing to check for error returns. Yes,
distributed systems are a fair bit harder to
deal with...
[FGA #1: "Have you checked the return code?"]
The new release will throw exceptions, instead.
And, default exception handlers will terminate
offending threads.
Of course, you are free to catch these exceptions
and "do the right thing" (whatever that may be for
your circumstances) -- which is the motivation for
the rewrite! :>
