Worked exactly as you said. Windoze device manager identifies the CDROM
as a "LITE-ON LTR-24102B" which tracks exactly in the "NTI Backup Now"
device list.
The only problem was that after three tries it was not possible to
successfully backup to a CD-R, it kept failing with various error
messages. After investigating the problem a little further, it turned
out that the CDs were TDK "music" CD-R media, which is not useable for
data backup (OK for music recording, but poor data quality, too many
write errors). After switching to TDK certified "data" CD-Rs, backup
and verification worked like a champ!
