In fact, it works ! The problem is that this method is used toask
another server if the first one is down. Here, your first
server reject the login which is different from being down.

A solution may be to have trust relation ship between your
domain. However, I tryed it and failled !

If someone managed to do such a thing, please answer.

Hello,

We use samba version 1.9.15p6 and we would like to use "server"
authentication using 2 Domain controlers (primary and backup) that are NT
4.0 machines. Is it possible with that version or a newer one to indicate
that we use 2 servers ? We have in fact some problems when logging on the
LAN with the secondary domain controller and indicating the primary one in
the smb.conf file. Samba reject then the access. We tried the following but
it does not seem to work:

password server = ncelan1 ncelan2

or

password server = ncelan1, ncelan2

or

password server = ncelan1
password server = ncelan2

Thanks for your answer

Best regards
