smbclient //server/share passwd -U username -c 'recurse;mput *.ext'
I keep getting prompted for Y/N in the script. Obviously for a cron job
this is somewhat defeating of purpose.
The "i" switch that you normally use to disable interactive in ftp
client can't be used because it designates scope in smbclient.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I would mount the share with smbmount, lets say something like this:
smbmount file://server/share /mnt/ntserver/share -o username=me,password=me
(please note that the file:// does not suppose to be there, but Outlook
likes to make changes to my text)
Anyway, now you can just copy any files from and to the share as you would
do as it were a local disk.
After that you can unmount the share (if neccesary) by doing umount
/mnt/ntserver/share
Bye

what you need to do is a "prompt" before the "mget" to shut off prompting.
smbclient //server/share -c "prompt;cd somelocation;mget somefiles"
I assume he knew what he was talking about and hope this helps.
