I have the latest version of Samba installed on a Solaris 2.6 box.
I have not been able to gain access to a share from a client pc
and I'm having a hard time figuring out why. I printed off the
DIAGNOSIS.txt page and ran through the tests on their. I can get
through tests 1 and 2 w/ no problems. During test 3 I get "Bad
Password" but I have none of the settings indicated in that test
that might cause the problems (i.e. valid user, invalid user).

So that's my problem, and this is my goal. All I want to do with
Samba on this box is to allow users logged into an NT sever to
have a mounted drive on their pc that is their home directory
on the Solaris box. I'm sure this must be a fairly common setup
so does anyone have any ideas as to where I've gotten off the beaten
path?

Thanks,

Travis

Travis:

Set EnablePlainTextPassword=1 in NT registry (on the client) if not done
already.
Hope this helps.

Thanks
