Dear All,

I am developing\supporting an application which employs the X400
protocol to automaticly download messages from a remote server. The
messages are then processed by the application. A user of the
application uses a US Robotics modem. Every time the machine is
rebooted the X400 interface claims to know nothing about the modem and
the user is forced to re-install the modem. Has anyone experienced
something like this in the past and know of a solution?

Thanks,
John

Looks a bit too specific to a particular software package to be able
to answer - wihtout knowing what the package is.
Is it perhaps the old MaXware mailmax with scripted P7?
I would be a bit suprised if it was the X400 software that was making
the problem happen though.
Do other modem aware pieces of software on that PC work fine after the
reboot?

I found\encountered a solution to the issue - they where running the
app off a server under win2k. They reverted to running the app locally
on a NT4 workstation and evrything works fine! Thanks for the help.
