Hello,
Having a bit of trouble with one of my mail accounts, think it's a DNS thing
The preference for the MX record is 10, this is the only MX record for this
zone
When any mail is sent to this domain it's not forwarded to the pop account
designated in virtusertable.db
When the domain is mailed it says <Recipient ok (will queue)>
all other domains on the server are ok it does not say will queue

is there any way I can force them out of the smtp mail server ? or will they
just hang around for ever
Please help a dumbass!
TIA
Nick.

It's doubtful that this has anything to do with DNS. Once the mail reaches your
server, the MX record has basically done its job. I've never worked with
virtusertable's in sendmail before, but according to the code, "will
queue" appears to mean that sendmail is encountering a temporary failure will
trying to look up the recipient address. Unless you're using Hesiod, this
probably indicates a corrupt database file. For more definitive
troubleshooting, ask a sendmail group/list.

Hi Kevin,

Yeh I think I've found the problem in a bad pop account, edited
virtusertable to forward mail to another account and it all came in
Thanks for the reply
Regards
Nick.
