When I do a "whois amazon.com" I get;
AMAZON.COM.SHOULD.SELL.SEXTOYSONLINE.COM

And "whois yahoo.com" I get;
YAHOO.COM.IS.TRYING.TO.STEAL.YAHOO.VU.HOW.ACIDULOUS.COM

Where is this coming from?
Does someone have a 'cracked' nameserver?

Those are registered name server host names. Your WHOIS search looks not
only for domains with your search criteria, but also ns hosts or internic
contacts with your search criteria.

Try "whois microsoft.com" for a worse example. Others have already
explained why this junk is in the InterNIC whois database.
