in-addr-arpa registration??? Reverse lookup to my ptr fails for the rest of the world....

Do you and, if so how, do you get your reverse DNS registered as indicated
in the OReilly DNS/Bind book that refers to a template for doing such??? My
reverse DNS works for my dns servers, but know one else can seem to resolve
my ptr records... What have I missed??? Please provide me some guidance.

Your reverse DNS should be delegated by whatever organization assigned the
addresses to you. If you got the addresses from your ISP, as most people
do these days, they should delegate the reverse DNS.

An example of a PTR record with which you are having trouble would be
helpful.
