I'll commence by saying that after consulting a variety of sources
(networking CD of DNS and Bind published by O'Reilly) and with the kind
assistance of a member of the newsgroup comp.protocols.dns.bind I was
able to successfully submit a zone configuration to the granitecanyon
database. Well, maybe not.
I forwarded my first e-mail confirmation (and subsequent slightly
modified ones), but, I have not received a response from the actual
servers confirming the addition of my zone to the system. I tried
reconfiguring with a different email address and this also did not work.
Here is my modified config. If anyone can see if there is an obvious
reason for this not working please feel free to comment

You're missing all the numeric parameters to the SOA record.

In the Granitecanyon system, the user doesn't setout or have any control
over the SOA, that is done "automatically" by the script they use after the
other zone entries are submitted.

Everything else in your post looks OK to me. If there were a syntax error
I think you would have gotten an error message back from them. So it may
just be a processing delay.
