Is anyone out there using QIP for IP address and DNS management, and BIND
for the nameservers?

I'm looking to design a DNS infrastructure that utilizes both BIND (for
the individual nameservers) and QIP (for its IP/Domain name management
functions).

I have a few design questions, and I was wondering if anyone out there is
currently using a setup like this.

You can email me directly at sli...@slidge.com, or post to the newsgroup.

QIP's DNS server is basically just an enhanced version of BIND, so what is it
exactly that you are trying to accomplish?

We use QIP and the Lucent DNS Service (built on BIND
code)on some servers, BIND on some servers. QIP can push
conf files to either service.

We are using it here at VERITAS to manage not only domain names, but IP
address allocations as well. What are your design questions?

Thanks,
Thomas
