There are four JPEG 2000 transfer syntaxes:

1.2.840.10008.1.2.4.90 JPEG 2000 Image Compression (Lossless Only)
1.2.840.10008.1.2.4.91 JPEG 2000 Image Compression
1.2.840.10008.1.2.4.92 JPEG 2000 Part 2 Multicomponent Image Compression (Lossless Only)
1.2.840.10008.1.2.4.93 JPEG 2000 Part 2 Multicomponent Image Compression

So far I have only ever seen .90 and .91 and I am not sure what is different about .92 and .93. Can anyone provide a quick explanation on the difference? I am also looking for sample datasets for both .92 and .93 to verify they load in cornerstone (I am assuming OpenJPEG can read them)

Thanks

Chris

Interesting - has anyone actually implemented this? Does anyone have a sample dataset I can look at?

Yes OpenJPEG (since ~1.5.x) do support MCT. Pay attention that most of Part 2 is not implemented in OpenJPEG so I would generate an MCT dataset using OpenJPEG just to be sure (Kakadu may use some other stuff from Part 2).

Actually I was asking if anyone is creating DICOM SOP Instances with this transfer syntax and if so - could they provide a sample data set. No reason for me to implement it if nobody is using it.
