writing dicom palette color images

Hello,

I am writing a software to write DICOM images and it is working fine
writting Native formate Monochrome and RGB but i found some problems
with writing palette color images i took a Look at Part 3 of the
specification and i added the following 6 DICOM elements to the file
1. 3x palette descriptors with element ID's
0x00281101, 0x00281102 and 0x00281103

2. 3x palette RGB entries with element ID's
0x00281201, 0x00281202 and 0x00281203
but it didnt work!
can any one send me a HOWTO or a URL where i find how to wright
palette color ?
