I have two CT slices

1st:- Image Position: (-69.3642578125\-208.3642578125\-585), Slice Thickness: 3 mm
2nd:- Image Position: (-69.3642578125\-208.3642578125\-588), Slice Thickness: 3 mm

Now I have a point in between (-69.3642578125\-208.3642578125\-586), and I have to map it to one of the slices. To which slice should I map this point?

Should the direction of scanning be considered? if so, how to determine the scan direction?

Bonjour,

The way I see it, you have 2 slices, centered at -585, and -588. They
have a thickness of 3mm, this mean that the volume of the first slice
goes from -583.5 to -586.5, and the second from -586.5 to 589.5 (+-
1.5 mm on each side of the center).

Your point is at -586, this is squarely inside the volume of the first
slice.

If your point was at -586.5, then it would be more problematic...
