Networking 9600 (8.6) with PCs

Hi
Got a router Netgear 834GT. Setup my PCs and Mac as per install instruction,
using Ethernet cables. Can go on the internet on all computers fine.

However I would like to share files between my windows PCs (windows XP) and
my Mac 9600 (system 8.6). On both computers when I search the network they
do not see each other...
Is there a way for them to share files ?
