hi,

im having a similar problem with several mac ppc g4 1.25ghz, connected
via one planet wgsw-14020 gigabit-switch to a ppc g4 733mhz running mac
os 9.2.2 and filesharing via tcp/ip.

running os 9.2.2 on the clients everything seems to be fine, booting osx
10.3.9 (latest fixes installed), i get irregularly disconnected - i was
not able yet, to force this to happen. in the osx-clients' system.log i
find the following entries:

Dec 28 17:17:40 localhost kernel: AFP_VFS afpfs_mount: /Volumes/Share,
pid 664
Dec 28 17:23:37 localhost kernel: AFP_VFS afpfs UserCommand: sosend
failed for request 32
Dec 28 17:23:37 localhost kernel: AFP_VFS afpfs_Reconnect started
/Volumes/Share
Dec 28 17:23:37 localhost kernel: AFP_VFS afpfs_Reconnect: Wrong
version 4 or no more attempts 0
Dec 28 17:23:37 localhost kernel: AFP_VFS afpfs_unmount: /Volumes/Share,
flags 524288, pid 686
Dec 28 17:23:37 localhost kernel: AFP_VFS afpfs_unmount: succeeded

so if anyone is sheding related light out there: me want some, too...

thanks a lot,

rr
