yes -- it's called exterminate 99% percent of them and take all the
good land. those that are left are too weak to protest. it was
certainly harsh, brutal, barbaric and completely polically incorrect,
but then you have to break eggs to make an omelette. i don't blame
native americans for being angry. i'd be mightly pissed off too.

didn't machiavelli say something to the effect of it is better to kill
the father and let the sons inherit rather than to confiscate the
lands? in the former case, the sons will eventually forgive you. in
the latter, they will constantly scheme and plot against you. this is
borne out in US history. for the former case, there aren't enough
native americans left alive to mount a viable opposition. for the
latter, look at cuban exiles in the US for a clear example of the
constant scheming.
i figure, either the israelies kill off or mass expulse the
palestinians, or they will go down in roughly fifty years as the
palestinians have a much higher birth rate. i really don't see
co-existance as a viable possibility since that would involve giving
up very deeply held values on both sides. i would love to be proved
wrong, however.
