Good book on encryption

I've just read Simon Singh's "The Science of Secrecy" and I highly recommend
it if you want to find out more about the history and theory of encryption
(including PGP). It's an excellent read - and you don't need a degree in
math to understand it. It's the best book on this subject that I've read.
Most suited to the beginner or intermediate user of encryption products. I

You might like to try "In Code: a mathematical Journey" by Sarah
Flannery, which is full of good stuff on the mathematics of encryption
and the experience of doing mathematics.
