I have a Adaptec 29160N. After I installed the card WinXP recognise the Card
and install its driver.
So far I have only a SCSI CDwriter hocked up on the 50 pin connector...
which works fine.

I know with other Adaptec SCSI cards, it is possible to press Ctrl and A at
the same time, during PC startup (boot), but nothing happens...???

Does anyone know a different way to activate the "SCSI select" ?
Does the Adaptec 29160N have a BIOS ?
Does the Adaptec 29160N have a "Expansion ROM" ?

NOTE: I've tryed "the Adaptec support pages" ... without success :-(

Are you getting the message to "press <Ctrl> A to enter setup"? I had
this problem until I learned to press "Ctrl A" very quickly at the
instant the message is displayed (or even slightly before).

Try the card in a different PCI slot. If that doesn't work, take
out all other PCI cards (except video and disk controller, if
present) and see if you can access SCSI Select.
