I double clicked on an .sit file, it reports error on creating a file.
Then I tried to purge the empty folder created by .sit, the Finder told
me the folder could not be put into trash, I could only choose delete
it immediately or cancel (I hadn't got a Finder response like that). I
choose delete, but it reports fail to write. I eject the cartridge and
re-insert it. Mac pops up the initialization dialog.

I eject the cartridge and mount to a NeXT. The console says:

Mac File System: Initialized
macfs: ERROR: DFS: macTreeCache/init_tree_cache: 15041 Bad vib or
tree header.
macfs: ERROR: mac_mount: dm_mount FAILED: 15041
mount: /dev/rsd3h on /Jaz 1GB: Invalid argument
mount: giving up on:
/Jaz 1GB

The Jaz drive seems still work with other cartridge. Is there anyway to
repair or rescue files from the damaged cartridge ?

I use the new Jaz drive and cartridge for less than 1 month, and the use
is very light. Is Jaz that unreliable ?

Thanks in advance for your help.
