Adaptec 2906 / Flash Bios?!

I have windows xp, and a Adaptec AVA-2906 Scsi Card. My event view keeps
telling me The driver has detected that device \Device\Scsi\ultra1 has old
or out-of-date firmware. Reduced performance may result.

How do I fix this? I can't find a bios to use to flash for this card.

I've heard that if there isn't a driver (any product) the driver for Windows
2000 may work. If you would like to try using the W-2000 BIOS for the 2906
visit:

You may want to contact the Adaptec folks before doing the above. I have
found them to be very helpful.

Under bios updates on that link, all I see is

It does seem a bit strange that on the BIOS page they don't mention Windows
XP but on another page where they describe the 2906 Adaptec lists Windows
XP. I think the best bet is to call their tech support and share the
problem with them.

My ID TAG for my product, tells them that I am no longer under warrenty, and
i have to PAY for tech support now. Blah

attached.

Don't know.

Because it doesn't have one. It also isn't ultra so the message probably
doesn't even concern the 2906 card.
