way to determine scan count/remaining life on expression 10000xl?

I have 3 Epson Expression 10000xl's- 2 with the photo imaging unit and
one that is the graphic arts edition. The lamp's scan life is reported
to be 100,000 scans, but how does one determine a count of how many
have been completed? I want to be sure to change the lamps before they
start getting too weak.

They start getting weak from scan one. I would have thought that a
replacement scanner would be necessary before the bulb went. Its now a
disposable society.
