Agfa Snapscan Touch and Vuescan

I have installed the latest Scanwise 2.0 software for my Windows XP
and my Agfa Snapscan Touch scanner and that software work fine,
however I would like to try Vuescan as all the reports seem to suggest
that it is far better than the Agfa software.

The problem is that when I start Vuescan (v7.5.11) my scanner isn't
shown in the "Scan From" window, I only get the choice of "Disk". Am I
doing something wrong ? Is my scanner maybe not supported by Vuescan?

I'd appreciate any help from you guys out there.

The same with my Epson when I run Vuescan before turning on the scanner.
So first turn on the scanner and then start Vuescan.
Anyhow, first check out if your scanner is listed in the *supported scanners* list.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately my scanner is of teh tye that is
"always on". There is no off switch as such, it simply switches on
when Windows starts up and switches off when Windows closes down. As
for checking if it is in the supported list, all the list says is that
Most Agfa scanners are supported, it doesn't say which ones aren't so
I don't know, and don't know how to find out.
