I am buying a new cartridge tomorrow and need some advice:

For my HP Laserjet 5P, I have been buying the C3903A toner for years. Now, I
am interested in Xerox, so I can save money.

Office Depot has the Xerox HP replacement for the C3903A @ $52.99. This is
cheaper than the HP toner cartridge @ $70.99.

Staples is offering the Xerox @ $59.99 and the HP @ $72.99. In the past, I
was able to buy the HP for $62.99 from Staples, but their prices have gone
up. Therefore, I will probably go with Office Depot. But should it be the
Xerox?

Bottom Line:

Does the Xerox toner match the HP, mechanically, electronically, and Print
Quality?

Should I go with the Xerox, or just stick with the HP?

Thanks,

Pat

You can save more, try Yellow Pages/ Computer Supplies/ Toner. Or Image Control
sells them for $US44.85 exchange price, $US5.00 for UPS in the lower 48 States,
and no taxes charged outside Canada.

Ours come with a perfect test print, and one year/ 4000 print guarantee

Xerox is a darn good source for 3rd party refills or new. I haven't run
across anyone that's complained about any Xerox toner cart problems.
They're just as good as HP and offer a $5 rebate in the toner package for
sending back the old toner cart and includes all mail, etc. Remember
though most is refilled, verify it should mention on the package, a reason
for lower cost. Of course other mail order or local sources offer refill
toner carts, so check into that side. Popular models usually are lower in
price and package deals are common.

good luck -----Willy

I have used two Xerox cartridges in my LaserJet 4M Postscript Laser.
They were priced at about 60-65 percent of the HP cartridges, but I
saw nothing on the boxes about being refills -- still....

At any rate, they both performed extremely well, with print counts
in excess of the *extended* HP cartridges. I've just bought two more.

My advice would be to give them a try in your printer.

I bought a Xerox cartridge for a LaserJet III. It dumpded toner all over
the paper from the word "Go", but Staples exchanged it with no problem.
I think somebody else said their experience with Xerox cartridges had
not been good.

For our Sharp digital copier we have had good experiences with
remanufactured cartridges and drums from Encore imaging:
http://www.encore-imaging.com. Note that their prices include shipping.
