Hi,
I have a problem with my Canon BJC-2000 printer:

The printer doesn't react anymore on opening and closing the flap to the
cartridge. I tested the switch which signalizes the flap status. It's
O.K.. The printers cartridge stays always in the middle, as if the flap
is open and does not react anymore on the computer. If I press the only
external button of the printer (the button for line feed) the printer
first reacts normal: It repositions the cartridge to the middle and
slides inserted paper sheets. But that's all. The printer is dead again.
The cartridge stays in the middle instead to go back to the right
position. Five times pressing the line feed button, which is for
printing a test sheet, has no effect, too.

Does someone has an idea what's wrong with the printer?

Please help!

Hans Bohnet.

Most likely the installed BJ Cartridge(printhead) is electrically dead,
Replacement would be required

That might be the problem.
I'll try that with a new printhead.
thanks.

Hans.
