Manila, Philippines (PRWEB) -- Gurango Software, the first global
software distributor of industry-specific business applications to be
based in Manila, was launched recently. The company is a value-added
reseller of Microsoft Business Solutions' (MBS) Great Plains, Navision
and Axapta solutions in the Philippines.
"Until today, there has been no established distribution system for
industry-specific business applications and related services within the
Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS) ecosystem," Joey Gurango, founder
and chief executive, said. His new venture will be the first to provide
a "turnkey" distribution system that will meet the unique needs of
specific industries in diverse geographical markets, he said.
Gurango Software will provide support services such as technical
support; training and certification; consulting; staff augmentation;
localization of applications for country-specific business logic;
translation of applications user-interface into required languages; and
customization of applications according to specific customer
requirements. These technical services will be provided by Gurango
Software"s pool of experienced Filipino IT professionals, according to
Gurango.

"Our Philippines base and workforce will provide attractive cost
savings for our customers. At the same time, we will communicate the
Philippines" value proposition as a center for world-class talent and
expertise in IT," he said.
Gurango Software will initially operate in the Philippines. Next year
local offices will be opened in Singapore, Sydney, and Dubai. "Our
initial target market is the Asia Pacific and the Middle East regions.
After 2007, we hope to expand to the North American and European
regions," Gurango said.
As a value-added reseller of Great Plains, Navision and Axapta
products, Gurango Software aims to be MBS" leading sales and
implementation partner in the Philippines.
For the global market, Gurango Software will also offer
non-MBS-branded, "third-party" products manufactured by independent
software vendors (ISVs) as add-ons to MBS packaged products in addition
to the MBS product lines.
Gurango served as managing director of the MBS product development
facility in the Philippines from 1999 to 2003. From 2001 to 2003, he
worked as regional director for Products and Services for the Asia
Pacific region of MBS, before founding his own software engineering
company, WEBWORKS OS.
