I have a Canon BJC 4200 and get a error that internal color controls are not
available. If I click OK it prints in black and white. If I click Cancel
it says there is not enough memory and to close unused windows. I have a
Compaq Presario with 128 meg RAM running Windows 98 SE and it shows 77% free
on system performance.

I've tried the fixes and drivers at Canon with no luck. Does anyone have
any ideas or am I out of luck and need to get a new printer.

If I need to get a new printer, anyone have any recommendations. It's for
home use and the most intensive work it would do is photo printouts on photo
paper.

Thanks,

Steve

It would still appear you have NOT installed Canon's driver correctly.
Canon driver would be labeled Canon BJC-4200 as to Microsoft's driver
labeled as Canon Bubble-Jet BJC-4200

this is a Driver problem Not a printer issue
