I am interested in buying ink jet cartridges for my 970 Desk jet. I am NOT
interested in filling them myself.
Does anyone know of a site on the internet where you can buy the HP color
and black cartriges for discount prices

Thanks in advance
Dottie

Hi Dottie,
Try a search at one of the following:
www.shopper.com - http://pricescan.com - www.pricegrabber.com

buy.com or Onvia usually has some pretty good prices on HP ink carts too.

You might want to check recycling service
http://www.reinkkit.com/RecycleServiceDir/index.html.
You send in you empty cartridge and they send you a complete reconditioned
one that has a full ink level 42ml, not the half level 21ml of a lot of new
cartridges. I have the HP 950 and I am going to go that route as soon as I
have a couple of empties.

I've found Sam's club to be the least expensive source for inkjet
cartridges.

Hi,

I have both of the cartridges for your printer available as refurbished
(meaning they have been used once and commercially refilled). The black
HP51645A is filled to full capacity and is $18.00. The C6578D is also filled to
full capacity and is $20.00. All 100% guaranteed.

Link to my cartridge site:

Cheers & Happy Printing,

Sam's sells them brand new for the same price you charge for refurbished. I
have an Epson 860 & I pay $38.88 for a "TWO" pack of brand new cartridges.
That's for black & color. If they can be bought brand new, why would anyone
buy "refurbished" cartridges?

Assuming you are not in a big hurry for them, try www.onvia.com

They have a large selection of HP carts, will answer questions, don't charge
tax (unless you are in Washington State) and offer free shipping.

I've bought many items there and am generally pleased.

You might want to look into recycled cartridges, no mess and still save a
lot of money http://www.reinkkit.com/RecycleServiceDir/index.html

Recycled cartridge for the HP 900 series is $16.95 I think that is at
least $5.00 cheaper than you can get any place. These are completely
reconditioned, not just refilled.

I can buy brand new Epson color cartridges at Sam's club for $38.88 for a
two pack. The black cartridges are a few bucks cheaper.
