I just downloaded the pdf995 printer onto my system. It is supposed to be able
to create pdf files out of web-pages. It is a free download with a sponsor ad
when you start it up. I opened a web-page, but I have no idea how to get a
web-page to print to this new pdf995 printer that I can find in my Printers
Folder. My Canon S600 is the default printer & I don't want to muck up settings.
What should I do?

I don't know the pdf995, but I suspect you have to use it as a virtual
printer driver. When you are in the wanted web page, select File --> Print
and choose the pdf995 printer in the current window. I don't know for
additional settings, but the "pdf995 virtual printer driver" will print a
.pdf file somewhere in your hard drive (either selecting the target folder
or in a fixed folder).

What you said is exactly right. PDF995 is a printer driver so it doesn't
have any effect on other devices. It's a great product and I use it
frequently for creating PDF files from Microsoft Publisher.

I had just never clicked the combo-box to change printers in the printer dialog
box before. I got it now. Thank you.

But I still have a little problem with margins when I use the pdf995. Wasn't
there a way to make a web page shrink to fit the margins of my printer? Maybe I
am just too new to this program yet to understand what I am doing. I did a lot
of downloading for it the past 3 days, and I end up at a web site everytime I
start the program (demo-version). If I had to pay $9.95 for every feature of
that program that I've downloaded, it could well be over a hundred bucks!~ I
have the Adobe 6.0 free reader program, and this pdf995 seems to add extra
functionality to the reader program. I even got the photo slideshow to work :) !

Why don't you go to Canon's website and download easy web print.
It's free and works with Canon printers.
You will find it under the I70 drivers.
