GCC Technologies Toner Cartridge

replace the toner cartridge. I'd be surprised if the cartridge used
isn't equivalent to one widely available (the only instructions from
GCC Tech is to order it from them).
Does anyone know what standard toner cartridge it's equivalent to?

I don't know, but you might find the info on places like
fixyourownprinter.com and printerworks.com.
If the "12/600" refers to the pages per minute and the resolution, I'd
bet that it's equivalent to an HP 4+. That's a SWAG, but if I'm right,
you can get carts for it on eBay for as little as $10-15 each
(remanufactured).

"GCC" toner cartridges were really OKI cartridges (the laser engine was
made by OKI). It was cheaper to buy cartridges from a mail-order
computer-supplies house than to buy them from GCC -- but I don't
remember whether I was buying genuine OKI cartridges or third-party
"OKI compatible." The first step is to find out who made the engine in
your printer; then you can look around for compatible cartridges.
