They are talking about those little 3.5" CD's that are more
rectangular in shape with rounded ends

The Epson Stylus Photo 900 can not print mini CD's or business card
CD's straight out of the box. However my Epson Stylus Photo 960 can
print to either a regular CD or mini a CD. The mini CD adapter is a
plastic ring device with an outside circumference of 4 3/4" (the same
size as a regular CD) and an inside cut out circumference of 3 3/4"
(the same size as a mini CD). This plastic ring fits into the cut out
for the regular size CD and allows a mini CD to be inserted into the
center cut out. I am sure it would be possible to construct such an
adapter that would fit into the CD tray of the Epson 900 printer.

Epson has the tendency to use their numbers more than once.
There are two different Epson Stylus 900 Printers.
The Stylus 900 which is a four color dye printer of a few years old,
which was replaced with the 980 later on.
The Stylus PHOTO 900 is a new printer, which is 6 dye ink color with a
minimum 2 picolitre dot, and the ability to print on CDs.
I would think that it could print to any size or shape CDR, but you may
need to create a carrier for it so it mimics a standard sized CD.
I suspect even a piece of mat board that is the same thickness as a CD
cut with an insert the size of the CDR you want to use, and maybe a
piece of tape to stick it into place is all that is required.
However, you need to know that the only way to print onto a CD is to use
the ones that have the correct surface that accepts inkjet inks. I
don't know that the smaller ones come in that format. In that case,
you'll have to print on a label, and then you can do that with any
inkjet printer, and stick it onto the disk afterward.
Epson states that the CD printing software does not work with OS X, by
the way.

The only 'business card' sized CD-Rs I've ever bought
(actually, they're playing-card sized) specifically
state "ink-jet printable" right on the box.
I'd expect that in this particular size, they're
somewhat more likely to be printable than not.

May be a regional thing, or a newer phenomenon. The last time I looked
at the business card size was about 8-10 months ago.

I bought these (at MicroCenter in Santa Clara) on 9/29/02.
