All,

I own a Canon BJC-255SP, and I am running it (...well, its not really
"running" at the moment, thats the problem) under Windows 98 SE. It was
working on my old PC, which used Windows 95A - but is not currently working.

I have made numerous searches of the search engines and of the Canon sites
to locate the latest driver(s) for this printer, without success.

Could someone point me to a valid link so that I can download the latest
printer drivers (or whatever is valid for Windows 98 SE), and hopefully get
my printer working again ?

Thanks in advance,

regards,

What kind of problems?? Reason I ask is because I'm having trouble w/ bj-230
on Win 98se also, but on old pc (which USED TO have Win 95, now Win 98se)
printer works o.k. New canon driver (v 3.97) supposed to have patch, but
patch leaks!! My printer stops mid-way thru printing. What does yours do?

Rich

Rich,

I am getting the message "Cannot detect cartridge type". I downloaded a
driver from http://www.canon.com.au, but this hasn't resolved the problem.

regards,
Andrew

This is because the computer cannot detect the printer,
First, Is the printer ready, meaning Steady green light ?
if not this is the fault, the printer is not ready
if the Power light is blinking green, remove and reinstall the
cartridge

if the printer appears ready, check the printer cable connections.
