Anyone familiar with this device? I purchased this device a few months ago
to use with my OkiPage 6ex. The Okidata site lists it as being compatible
but ever since hooking it up I get error 90 and error 04 on the printer.

Unfortunately the OkiData web page makes no mention of what these error
numbers mean.

This will not work with the Oki 6e. The Okilan 6010e will work with the oki
6ex but not the 6e.
This is documented in the spec's for the external okilan print servers.
The oki 6e has to be plugged into a bidirectional par port on a pc to work.
It is all software controlled. It can be shared form that computer.
Here are the models that will work with the Okilan 6020e:
Okicolor 8, Okipage 10e, 10ex, 10i, 12i, 14e, 14ex, 14i, 18, 20, 20dx, 24,
24dx. 8c
Here are the models that will work with the Okilan 6010e:
Okicolor 8, Okipage 10ex, 10i, 12i, 14e, 14ex, 14i, 16n, 18, 18n, 20, 20dx,
24, 24dx, 24dxn, 24n, 24tn, 6ex, ML184T, 320/321T, 320/321, 320/321TD,
520/521, 390/391, 395/395c, 590/591, and Pacemark 3410, 4410.
