Hi,

I've just bought one of these to replace my blocked Epson 400 (no success
with any of the unblocking methods I read about).

First impressions are:-

Its a lot faster in draft mode with a very acceptable output - the Espon was
a lot paler in draft mode.

The better quality modes don't seem to be that different in speed but are a
lot better than the 4yr old Epson.

You can't watch what it's doing because it stops if you open the lid.

The driver s/w is a lot slower - my 128 mb Celeron 400 spends a lot longer
sorting out the printing. Does anyone else notice this? There doesn't seem
to be excessive disk activity just a sort of impresssion that something is
doing a lot of processing.

Yes i agree, when my old printer (HP deskjet540) went out(died) i got
the HP deskjet 932C and it would not work, had the printer piggybacked
to the scanner(one printer port). to get it to work correctly had to add
a second parallel port card. then worked find, found that it was too
much activity, but much better printing...

If your 930 came with 2.3.2 drivers get the 3.1 drivers from hp's site, and
preferably use USB if possible, this combo will seem much more responsive.
