i just got my first printer. i have a question about technical
settings.
first does print quality, a. draft b. medium, c. best, only affect
THE SPEED something is printed, or does it affect the boldness, depth
and darkness of the print? i am talking only text printing, i don't
care about photo quality.

also doe the INK VOLUME setting affect how the draft mode or best will
look other that darkness?
i am trying to find a setting that i can live with that uses the least
amount of ink.
is it better to use draft with normal ink setting, or best print mode
with light ink settings? any ideas. i hate to waste 20 sheets trying
to figure out which is the most economical.
thanks.

Econofast (or draft) mode uses about 1/2 the ink or normal or best modes. It
will generally be noticeably lighter for color, maybe less noticeable for
draft. You may additionally lighten (less ink) or darken (more ink) the prints
using the slider for ink volume, although this may not work in colorfast
because it is always less ink. Generally normal and best modes use similar
amounts of ink, but best mode may take more passes and more time. Plain paper
settings are the most economical, printing with inkjet or photo paper will use
more ink.

Simple, Draft mode uses the least amount of ink. It also gives the
fastest print speed. It does this by only laying down one layer of
ink per pass and not over lapping. This can give slightly stepped
appearance to text larger than the natural height of the printhead
if the head is misaligned.

I wonder do people become as Intelligent as their computers.
