Hi all,

I have a HP 845c which has hardly done any printing. 175 pages to be exact
although is out of warranty as it's just over 1 year old.

It recently started playing up. The first time I noticed a problem was when
I looked up and seen all 3 lights flashing rapidly together. I turned it off
and on again and the power light was on for about 10 seconds (normal
operation) then the lights started flashing again. The HP site tells you to
try powering off with the switch then if this fails to remove the power
plug. I have done both these but the problem remains. It is not a PC fault
as you can unplug the USB cable and power up the printer and the same fault
exists.

Sometimes you can print a page or two, and half way through the 3 lights
start flashing and printing stops. Another strange thing that has happened
is the PC powering itself up. Because the PC is in my bedroom I turn the
printer off when all 3 lights flash as it's annoying at night. I have awoken
an hour later to find all the lights flashing again.

HP reccomends on its site that if the problem keeps reoccuring to have the
printer serviced. This is all great but I would like to have a bit of an
idea of the problem before taking it in.

Thanks.

Jason...
