I am looking for the tools to replace a Tektronix 840 Print head. I would
like the whols tool kit (PN: 650-3973-00) or at least the head to drum
calibration kit (PN: 003-1749-00) All help is apprecieated.

Hi Matt,
to replace the print head you don't need the "hot head tool"
just let the printer cool down for 30 min. before removing the print head.

Tektronix changed the head adjust procedure and every new print head
comes with a gap calibration clip that clips on the print head and allows
adjusting the gap. So you don't need to buy any expensive tools.
The only thing is that a print head is so expensive that most of the time
it's
better to buy a new printer for just a little more and you get a faster
printer
with 1 year onsite warranty !
