If you're looking for memory to upgrade a printer, look somewhere else
besides computers4sure. Not only do they send out defective products,
but they will not try to resolve the problem, do not respond to any
email, and will not exchange the defective product for a working one!
This is the worst online dealer I've seen in quite a while.

I tried to purchase additional memory to upgrade my Samsung ML-1650
printer through them. Either they sent the wrong DIMM or a defective
DIMM; I could never tell since they didn't respond to any of my emails
to them. I contacted the manufacturer, who responded promptly telling
me to request an exchange for a working one. Again I tried to request
an exchange; no response. Finally, I got an RMA to return it through
an automated form. I returned the memory with a note requesting an
exchange for a working DIMM.

Time passed. Eventually, a partial credit showed up on my Mastercard.
No exchange. No note. Perhaps they've completely automated the
company: no one seems to look at the orders at all! At this point, I'm
glad to get at least some of my money back, since my hope of getting
an actual working product from computers4sure is nil.

Enough of crappy online companies. I'm also avoiding their parent
company, Office Depot, from now on as well.

Found this: http://www.resellerratings.com/seller1835.html

Seems as if their service depends on the phase of the moon or something
similar because the comments are a mixed bag. Some praise, some WTF, and
some are in between.

As far as their parent company, Office Depot, is concerned I've had very
good service, in general, in their stores but no experience with online
orders.

The truth is out there. You just have look in the right places and ask the
right questions.

I hope you take the time to file a complaint with the Fedral Trade
Commsion, and the BBB. The FTC will make them credit the full price
to your credit card (not the shipping & hanlding charges), as the item
was returned as deffective, not an error on your part! I had an
company that after the FTC complaint, replaced an DOA fuser even when
the 90 day return policy had expired, it was a $400 item! And it took
a month thou;-(

If you want memory, of almost any kind, save for RDRAM, just go to
Crucial. I have no personal connection with them, except as a very
satisfied customer. In the past year, I have place 8 or so orders with
them, buying memory for everything from old HP Laserjets and funky
laptops to my most modern PC's. Each time I used their excellent
online selector system, and my orders always arrived within 24 hours
of order placement. And that is with their standard, no additional
charge, 2-day shipping. I can't tell you how well they handle returns
as everything I've ordered has worked flawlessly.

Yeah, in some cases, there was slightly cheaper memory available. But,
I'm at a point in my life where paying a couple of bucks extra for a
flawless purchase experience is worth it. Eight bucks saved on one
order would quickly be flushed if it had to be returned, not to
mention the hassle and downtime involved.

With enough crappy vendors out there, I don't mind patting a good one
on the back. Newegg.com is another that I have been quite happy with,
although you should read their policies carefully before purchasing.

As always, I'm sure YMMV. ;-)
