The first is a hp 27303-81401 and fits the II and III series laserjets.
I also have a hp J2550-60013 and a digital products Inc 'JETXprint 100'
that fit a deskjet 1200C. Finally, I'm trying to use the built in print
server for an apple color laserwriter 12/660PS. Can anyone tell me if I
need Novell for that? Apple and hp's web sites aren't being very
helpful.

I only found firmware for both J2550a & J2550b. Do the printer's
driver disks include drivers for all print server cards that fit that
model? Have you tried drivers from different (but similliar) models?
Have you tried clicking on the Product Support link & asking HP?
Failing all that, try the driver websites:
www.printerdriver.net
www.windrivers.com
www.drivershq.com
www.driverguide.com
www.driverszone.com
www.driversplanet.com
www.winguides.com/drivers/
www.driverupdate.com/drivers/
www.topfile.com/drivers/
Or try Google's Directory Listing for LOTS of Driver Sites:
http://directory.google.com/Top/Computers/Software/Device_Drivers/ .
Not sure about the Apple, but in my experience if a print server needs
a different network protocol than what's already in use it will say so
at installation. Aren't there any readme files with the drivers?
